How much will it cost to add Clocktree telehealth to my practice?

You’ve decided it’s time for your practice to offer telehealth visits, but how much will it cost to get started?  Here are some things to consider:

Equipment costs

The minimum requirement to use Clocktree is a computer with internet access, a webcam and a microphone.  Most laptops have a built in webcam and microphone.

Depending on your preference and your need to see your clients on a larger screen, you might wish to purchase a larger monitor for video appointments.  The larger screen becomes especially important if you are conducting video appointments with 2 remote clients and wish to see them both side by side.

(Side note from Kimberly at Clocktree:  I use a 13″ MacBook Air which I purchased for $999 and it works perfectly for video appointments, plus I can take it anywhere)

HIPAA compliant software costs

Clocktree is more affordable than you are probably expecting.  It’s literally free to get started. We encourage you to use Clocktree with a few clients and see how it works for your practice, at no charge, for as long as you wish.  Once you begin using more than 10 hours of video per month, we charge $49 per month. Click on Pricing at the top of this page for more details.

Training costs

Clocktree offers unlimited onboarding support, so there are no fixed costs here, but you’ll want to budget time for you and your staff to learn how to use Clocktree.  It takes about 45 minutes to set up your Clocktree account, invite clients, and learn how to use the system for video appointments.

There will also be some time spent planning how to integrate scheduling and reporting on telehealth visits into your workflow, and how to bill for telehealth visits.

Marketing costs

You’ve invested the time to bring telehealth appointments to your practice, now you want your clients to use it. This new service could also open up new revenue opportunities for you, but you’ll need to get the word out, so don’t forget this important part of your telehealth success plan!  To start, you can add a poster to your waiting room, update the message on your phone line, mail fliers with your invoices, update your website and social media pages, and print new appointment reminder cards that advertise telehealth visits.
